Game text to speech
Text to speech for Pathfinder: Kingmaker
Pathfinder: Kingmaker voices its big story moments and leaves much of the rest as text: side conversations, kingdom events, book events and encyclopedia tooltips. Corvo Reader reads any of it aloud in a natural voice, without mods.

Kingdom management is a reading job
Players on the Steam forums describe the voice acting as covering party banter, first meetings with major characters and the big story conversations, while incidental dialogue and side quests are mostly text.
Running your barony adds more: kingdom events and their outcomes, illustrated book events, the journal, encyclopedia-linked tooltips, and the spell and feat descriptions at level-up.
Read kingdom events with one key
If you keep checking the same panel, like the list of kingdom events, save it as a region. Saved regions read with one key.
For a tooltip, a feat or a book page, press Ctrl+Shift+E and draw a box round it.
Compared with the Kingmaker SpeechMod
Credit where it's due: Osmodium's free Kingmaker SpeechMod adds text to speech in most places in the game using your system's text-to-speech voices, and installs through Unity Mod Manager. There is also a More Voice Lines mod that adds AI-generated lines for the companion Jaethal.
Corvo Reader needs no mod manager, uses natural AI voices, and works the same in your other games.
Questions
Kingmaker and Corvo Reader.

Does Pathfinder: Kingmaker have text to speech?
We haven't found a built-in option. The community SpeechMod adds it with your system voices; Corvo Reader does it without a mod.
Does it work with the Enhanced Plus Edition?
Yes. Corvo Reader reads the screen, so it works with whichever version of the game you run on Windows.
Which display mode does Kingmaker need?
Borderless or Windowed. In exclusive fullscreen, Windows keeps the game's picture away from other apps, so Corvo Reader can't see the text. Where to look: the game's display or graphics options: windowed or borderless. Check your game's display settings, as the exact label can change between versions.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan needs no card: standard neural voices for 20 minutes of narration a week. Paid plans start at $6.99 a month and add weekly premium voice minutes, unlimited standard voices, Summarize and Translate.
