Game text to speech for Windows
Hear the words in your games.
Corvo Reader, formerly Paradox Reader
Press a key, draw a box around any text on screen, and Corvo Reader reads it aloud in a voice you choose. Quests, tooltips, events and lore, in every PC game. No mods.
- Free plan, no card
- Windows 10 & 11
- Any PC game, no mods

Who it's for
For every player the words get in the way of.
Games are richer than ever, and some of the best parts are walls of text. Corvo Reader turns them into something you hear.
Dyslexia
Hear events and tooltips instead of decoding them letter by letter.
ADHD
Stay in the game. No more skimming lore and missing the choice that mattered.
Tired eyes
Small fonts, long sessions, low vision. Let your ears do some of the work.
Everyone else
Lean back and let a narrator tell your campaign, or hear it in another language.
How it works
Three steps. A few seconds.

Press the hotkey
From inside your game. No switching windows.
Draw a box
Around the text you want read: a quest, an event, a tooltip.
Hear it
Read aloud in your character's voice, cleaned up so it sounds natural.
Inside the app
Your reads, your narrators.

Hear the difference
Standard voices, or a storyteller in your ear.
The same line from a strategy game, read two ways. Press play and Corvo reads along.

Ryan
Clear and natural. Unlimited on every paid plan, with 20 minutes of narration a week on the free plan.
Sean
Expressive, like a narrator reading your campaign. Weekly premium minutes on every paid plan.
“The envoy arrived at dawn with terms no council would accept: three border forts given up, the salt road opened, and silver paid every year for ten years.”
Features
Built for the long campaign.
Summarize
Long event? Hear the gist and every choice, with its costs. Short, medium or detailed.
Paid plansTranslate
Play in one language, hear it in another. Names and game terms stay as they are.
Paid plansQuick Read spots
Save the places you read most, like the event window or the dialogue box, and read each with one key.
Your characters
Portraits, voices and speeds for every narrator. Scroll to switch without leaving the game.
Free replays
Every read is saved. Hear it again with no minutes used.
Accessible by design
Bigger text, clearer letters, high contrast and menus read aloud, set up in about three minutes.

Questions
Good to know.

Do I need mods?
No. Corvo Reader reads what's on your screen, so it works with any PC game, including ones with no mod support.
Why Borderless Windowed?
In exclusive fullscreen, Windows keeps the game's picture away from other apps. Borderless Windowed looks the same and lets Corvo see the text.
What's a premium minute?
About a minute of reading in a premium AI voice, counted from the text read (about 1,000 characters). Paid plans get a weekly allowance that resets every Monday. A few richer voices use minutes faster, and the app says so on those voices. Standard voices never use premium minutes; on the free plan they use the free 20 minutes a week.
What happens when premium minutes run out?
Reading carries on in the character's backup voice, a standard voice you pick. You can also buy extra minutes that last 12 months.
What does Corvo send over the internet?
Only the text you choose to read, so it can be cleaned up and voiced. Never your screen.
Is it really free?
Yes. The free plan needs no card and never expires: standard neural voices for 20 minutes of narration a week, plus a free taste of premium AI voices.
Is this the app that used to be Paradox Reader?
Yes. Paradox Reader is now Corvo Reader. The new name makes clear it works with any PC game, not only Paradox titles. Your account, plan and settings are unchanged.
